Terms and conditions

1. Entrants must be UK residents aged 18 or over
2. Entries can be provided by sending your pet’s name and photograph via email to competitions@johnlewis-insurance.com or by post to Lauren Baldwin, Web Editor, John Lewis Insurance Floor 10, 171 Victoria Street, London SW1E 5NN and entry deems acceptance of these conditions.
3. All entries must be received on or before 31 December 2011. No responsibility will be accepted for any entries that are lost or delayed in the post or which fail be properly submitted.
4. The prize consists of £100 of John Lewis gift vouchers. Full terms and conditions on the use of John Lewis gift vouchers can be found on the back of the vouchers.
5. The prize will be awarded to the most festive Christmas pet as decided by an independent panel of judges.
6. The judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. John Lewis reserves the right to substitute the prize for another prize of equal or greater value, should the need reasonably arise.
7. The prize must be accepted as offered and is non-transferable; there is no cash alternative.
8. Winners will be notified by 16 January 2012.  Where John Lewis is unable to contact the winners within a reasonable period, a substitute winner may be selected and John Lewis shall have no liability to the original winner. Details of winners will be available in the January eNewsletter or will be available on request for six weeks after the closing date by sending a SAE to Lauren Baldwin, Web Editor, John Lewis Insurance Floor 10, 171 Victoria Street, London SW1E 5NN. 
9. By entering the competition you confirm that your entry is your own sole and original work and you have not copied your entry from anyone else or used anyone else’s materials to create your entry.
10. By entering the competition you agree for the picture of your pet to feature on our website johnlewis.com/insurance and if your picture is declared the winner you agree that John Lewis can use the picture without restriction to feature in the January enewsletter. You agree that John Lewis has the right to adapt your entry, including editing, deleting, copying etc) and to transfer your entry to different media formats.
11. By entering this competition you agree that John Lewis may use and store your personal details in the course of running the competition as set out in these terms and conditions and for related purposes such as promoting the competition, announcing and publicising the winner.
12. If you would like us to return your picture please include a stamped addressed envelope with your entry.  We apologise but all other entries are non returnable.
13. This competition and these terms and conditions are subject to and governed by English law.
