Our Wedding Insurance must be taken out by the bride, the groom or the person who is paying the main cost of the wedding, but it doesn't have to be a close relative.

If I’ve already arranged services or paid deposits, will they be covered when I take out my policy?

Yes, anything already booked or paid for will be fully covered.

Can you cover my wedding if it is taking place abroad?

Yes we can, provided you have adequate travel insurance in place to cover the entire trip.

Will my honeymoon also be covered under John Lewis Wedding Insurance?

Unfortunately not: we recommend that you take out a separate Travel Insurance policy to be fully covered for your honeymoon. Our Wedding Insurance only covers your wedding.

Can I take out the Marquee Cover on its own?

Marquee Cover cannot be purchased on its own: it must be bought with one of the main levels of Wedding Insurance cover.

Can the policy provide cover for other occasions, such as anniversary parties?

Our Wedding Insurance is only available for weddings, but John Lewis Event Insurance provides cover for events and parties.
