Legal protection - £24.79 per year
If you’re injured in a road traffic accident that's not your fault, you may have the right to pursue compensation. You may also face financial losses that aren't covered by your car insurance. These could include:
Loss of earnings
Cost of alternative travel arrangements
Recovery of your policy excess from a third party
In addition, you may need to defend certain motoring prosecutions against you, or resolve disputes related to buying and selling goods or services for your vehicle - including selling your car.
Motor Legal Protection covers legal costs up to £100,000 per claim, if you need a lawyer to act for you in these circumstances.
For any claim to be accepted, there must be more than a 50% chance of success.
Motor Legal Protection also provides access to a 24/7 Legal Helpline, providing advice for private legal problems and access to online legal documents.
Car Breakdown Cover
We offer three levels of Breakdown Cover:
Home Rescue - which in addition to roadside rescue, also provides cover if you break down at home
European Rescue - our most comprehensive level of Breakdown Cover.
Car Breakdown offers - new customers only
Our car insurance come with free Breakdown Cover for the first year when you insure your car before 2nd November.
If you find that you need a different cover, just call us on 0800 916 6871. You'll be able to upgrade to Home Rescue Cover for an extra £20 or European Resuce Cover for an extra £40.

Excess Protection - £30.99 per year
If you need to make a claim for damage to your car, you’ll usually have to pay the total excess on your policy to the repairer. You can protect against this expense with Excess Protection which will reimburse up to £500 of your excess payment (excludes windscreen excess).
Protected No Claims Discount
Claiming for an accident that was your fault (excluding a windscreen claim) usually means you lose some or all of your No Claims Discount. However there is a way to protect your discount.
Protected No Claims Discount allows you to make up to two claims in three consecutive years without losing any of your No Claims Discount. This optional extra also allows you to continue to earn your discount in the years you don't have to make a claim.
We can provide Protected No Claims Discount if you’ve accumulated four or more years of claim-free driving. If you wish to protect less than four years of No Claims Discount we may still be able to help.

We've launched an all-new My Account, making it easier for our existing customers to manage their Car Insurance policies online.
You can update your personal or address details, add or remove a driver and make payments online.
You can now make real time updates, so you can check your changes and receive new documents immediately.
The updated design makes it easier to view on tablets and mobiles, ideal if you’re on the move.
You can access all your policy documents online.
You can upload documents straight to My Account, making it easier to prove your No Claims Discount and send documents required for your policy.
